Terms of Service
Effective date: 12 October 2026 · Version: 0
These terms are the agreement between Smart One Fintech South Africa (Pty) Ltd (registration number 2021/113793/07, 2 Bruton Road, Bryanston, Sandton, Gauteng, 2191) ("Chrome Market", "we") and the company that registers on chromemarket.co.za and the people who use the service on its behalf ("you"). By registering or using the service you accept these terms, the Refund Policy and the Privacy Policy.
1. What Chrome Market does
Chrome Market is an online information service for the chrome ore market. It lets verified companies:
- publish buy and sell orders;
- find matching orders;
- after both sides agree and pay the service fee, receive each other's company and contact details;
- obtain a template sales agreement pre-filled with both parties' details;
- view market price information;
- subscribe to market reports (monthly, or weekly and monthly).
2. Our role: information only
Chrome Market only provides information that allows buyers and sellers to find each other. We are not a broker, agent, trader, escrow, carrier or party to any sale.
- Any sale is concluded directly between the buyer and the seller. The sales agreement generated on the platform is between them only; Chrome Market is not a party to it.
- We are not responsible for delivery, quantity, quality, grade, title, transport, export, permits, insurance or payment between the parties, or for any other obligation of a buyer or seller.
- We do not hold, receive or transfer money for a sale between users.
- Orders, prices and company details are supplied by users. We verify that a company is registered with CIPC and check documents before approval, but we do not guarantee that a user will perform, that goods exist or match their description, or that a counterparty is creditworthy. Do your own due diligence before contracting or paying.
- Market price information is provided for general information and is not financial or investment advice.
- The template sales agreement is provided for convenience and is not legal advice. Review it, and take advice where needed, before signing.
3. Registration and verification
- Only companies registered in South Africa may register. The person registering confirms that they are authorised to act for the company.
- You must give accurate, complete and current information and keep it up to date.
- A company may post orders only after we approve its verification documents. We may refuse or withdraw approval at our discretion, for example if information is false or misleading.
- You are responsible for all activity on your account and for keeping your sign-in codes and devices secure.

- The service fee is earned once the counterparty details are delivered and is not refundable. Unused balance is refundable under the Refund Policy.

- To the extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim relating to the service is limited to the fees you paid to us in the three months before the claim arose.
